5-a-side football in Dubai — format and booking guide
Five a side means five players per team, including the goalkeeper. A small group can arrange a match by renting a suitable pitch. If you want to join alone, check that an organiser is selling individual places for the exact format you want.
Where to book a 5-a-side pitch
Ballers lists 5-a-side pitch bookings in Downtown Dubai. Danube Sports World lists indoor 5-a-side courts. These are venue bookings: check whether the price is for the whole pitch, how many players can attend and what equipment is included.

Playing 5×5: what to agree before kickoff
- Players: confirm whether your booking includes substitutes and how you will rotate them.
- Rules: agree the goalkeeper area, restarts and any height restrictions with the venue or organiser.
- Footwear: follow the venue’s surface-specific rules. Indoor facilities may require non-studded shoes.
- Costs: divide a whole-pitch fee only after checking the duration and any extra charges.

Our current organised sessions are 8-a-side at Ballers, in 90-minute sessions. We are not advertising a currently bookable FOOTYUP 5-a-side session. If 8-a-side suits you, you can join by booking one place in the schedule.

Can I come alone?
Yes. Book an individual place and come on your own. Organisers arrange the teams at the session; you do not need to bring a team.
How does a match run?
Our current games are 8-a-side at Ballers Downtown. A session lasts 90 minutes. Check the match card for the number of places; the organiser manages teams and substitutions on the day.
How do I book a spot?
Choose a published game in the schedule. Sign in or create an account, complete your player profile and follow the booking steps. For a paid game, your place is confirmed after full payment. Check your confirmation before travelling.
What does a game cost?
The current price is shown on each match in the schedule. Review any service fee and the full amount at checkout before paying. The pitch, bibs and water are included.
How do refunds work?
If you cancel your booking at least 24 hours before kickoff, the booking amount is returned only as bonus credit in your personal account. The service fee is non-refundable. Refunds are issued only as bonus credit in your personal account, available for future bookings. Money is not returned to a card, bank account or in cash. Later cancellations and no-shows are not refunded. Repeated no-shows may restrict future access.
